Pitch & Weather Analysis

Different pitches favor different types of players. Spin-friendly tracks benefit spinners, while pace-friendly tracks help fast bowlers. Similarly, overcast conditions can assist swing bowlers, while dry conditions may help spinners. Always consider these factors when selecting your team.

  • Research the venue's pitch history and recent behavior
  • Check weather forecasts before finalizing your team
  • Adjust your team composition based on pitch conditions

Player Selection Strategy

All-rounders are incredibly valuable in fantasy cricket as they can contribute points with both batting and bowling. Top-order batsmen typically face more deliveries, giving them more scoring opportunities than lower-order players.

  • Prioritize consistent all-rounders who bat in the top 6
  • Select batsmen who bat in positions 1-4
  • Choose bowlers who bowl their full quota of overs
  • Pick wicket-keepers who bat high in the order
Captain selection

Captain & Vice-Captain Selection

Since your captain earns double points and your vice-captain earns 1.5x points, these selections can make or break your fantasy performance. The right choices here can significantly boost your team's score.

  • Choose players who contribute in multiple ways (batting, bowling, fielding)
  • Consider player form and matchup history
  • For T20s, batsmen who open the innings are often good captain choices
  • For ODIs and Tests, all-rounders frequently make excellent captains
